My Family
Although a lot of people assume that I’m obsessed with my career, the truth is that the most important things in my life are family, friends and fun.

I am fortunate to be part of a wonderful family, and this section is devoted to them!
MUM

As you can see in the photo, my mother is a nurse!
Her name is Inez Elizabeth and apart from being one of the best nurses who ever lived, she is also a great mum.
She has a huge appetite for Mills & Boons and Coronation Street, and a number of interesting habits including collecting scary-looking porcelain dolls.
I’ve inherited her love of cats, chocolate and dancing!
Favourite phrase: “When are you going to give me some grandchildren?!”
DAD

This is my father, Patrick.
I inherited from him my interest in politics and world affairs - his Leninist tendencies also led to my fascination with the Soviet Union and my decision to learn Russian when I was at school.
An active trade unionist, dad spent a lot of his early years on the picket line trying to improve workers rights, and it’s still a topic he can talk on for hours even now - although a recent lottery win seems to have softened his views somewhat!
His great passion is having fun, and although he didn’t visit his native Jamaica for 35 years after coming to England as a teenager, he enjoys travelling and spends about six months of the year out of the country.
Favourite phrase: “Did you forget my telephone number or something?!”
DAMIAN (or Little Bro as I like to call him!)

Being a bit of a London-lad like myself, he likes to have fun.
He lives not far from me in Bounds Green, and he is the Consumables Manager for a major transportation company.
Luckily we’re good friends as well as brothers, and he was one of the first investors when I was setting up my company.
No doubt he will have his own web site soon - watch this space!
Favourite phrase: “What do you mean it’s my round?!”
